Prishtina, 11th of July 2014
After the investigation of about three months period, the Directorate for Investigation of Trafficking with Narcotics on 10.7.2014, at about 17:30, conducted a police operation, in which case they have arrested three suspects, on ground suspicion of having committed criminal act “cultivation of narcotics” and have destroyed 1448 cannabis sativa plants.
Arrested persons are:

• B. K born on 1949 male/ Albanian – Kosovar
• Q. K born on 1993 male/ Albanian – Kosovar
• K. K born on 1992 male/ Albanian – Kosovar
Police investigators through operational methods received information that these plants were planted in four land parcels in a village near Podujeva. By the order of the pretrial judge, two houses were searched but nothing was found. All police actions regarding this case are performed under the authorization of respective prosecutor, and to the suspects is imposed a 48 hour detention measure for further investigative proceedings.
