Today on 5.8.2014, the Directorate for Investigation of the Organized Crime, after several month intensive investigation in Peja region, has undertaken an operation named ‘ODEON’ regarding the criminal activity of a group dealing with smuggling of migrants on western countries. The operation was conducted into three locations, in Gjakova and Deçan. This group of suspects had continuously committed criminal activities of ‘smuggling with migrants’ and ‘document forgery’ of travelling, using various methods in cooperation with the suspects from Serbia, jeopardizing lives of Albanian citizens with the only purpose of illegal material benefit.
The suspects are:
• L. S. 1973 Kosovar/Albanian
• R. F. 1966 Kosovar/Albanian
• Xh. B. 1981 Kosovar/Albanian
During this operation there were seized as material evidences:
• 3 (three) mobile phones
• 1 (one) computer
The suspects were taken to custody for further judicial proceedings.
