As a continuance of informing citizens and the opinion regarding waiting at some border crossing points that link the Republic of Kosovo with Serbia, today during the weekend columns are created, columns of various periods of time wait.Kosovo Police continues the work with increased police personnel and applying the work of expedited border check, with the sole intention to avoid long waiting and to enable citizens, our fellow countryman’s faster pass of the border checks.
The information of the 12:00 hour show that at Merdare (Podujeva) at the entrance there are no waiting, while at the exit there is a column of up to 1.5 km, where waiting last about 2-3 hours.While at the border crossing point at Dheu i Bardhë (Gilan) at the entrance there are no waiting as well, while at the exit there are only about 100 meters long columns with short waiting of several minutes (20-25 minutes). While at the border crossing point Mutivodë (direction of the village Keçekollë) at the entrance there are no waiting at all, while in exit the column is 0.5 km long with the waiting period of up to 1 hour.At the border crossing point Muqibabë –(Gjilan) ant the entrance there are no waiting at all, while at the exit there are normal waiting of 20-30 minutes.Kosovo Police in order to avoid long waiting, informs all citizens and at the same time appeals to all of them who can use other border crossing points where there are no waiting or less waiting, to use them because there are no columns and long waiting, including crossing points in Mutivodë in direction of village Keqekollë, Muqibabë and Dheu i Bardhe-Gjilan there are no waiting at all, except the normal waiting of 10-30 minutes.It is worth mentioning that from the side of Kosovo Police officers, the work is going normally with increased capacities and intensity, but columns-waiting are being caused as a result of great flux of vehicles as well as procedures applied during the filling of respective documents-forms from the Serbian authorities.
