Kosovo Police, specifically the Directorate of Investigation of Trafficking with Narcotics, unit in Mitrovica, in the continuous work in combating criminal offences, confiscated over twelve kg narcotics, as well as a suspect has been arrested. On 24.01.2014 at about 20:00 after information collected from the field, with the order of the Pre-trial Judge in Mitrovica, the investigators of DITN in Mitrovica supported also by other police units and forensics began the search of the house and additional facilities of the suspect. During the search of the suspect’s house, in one of the rooms of the house there have been found a total of 24 (twenty-four) packages of narcotics suspected to be marihuana.All evidences found, have been seized while the suspect has been taken to police, and the suspected narcotics has been weighted which resulted to be 12 kg 378.39 gram (twelve kg and three hundred seventy-eight gram).With the decision of the State Prosecutor, the suspect has been imposed the detention measure of 48 hours for further investigative proceedings.
