Prishtinë, 22 October 2014 Investigation Section of Border Police Department, assisted by other units of the border Department and police station of Rahovec, today (22.10.2014) starting from 07:30 in the morning, have conducted a police operation, where with the order of the Basic Court in Prizren, two various locations in the Prizren municipality were raided. During this raid, there were found and seized as material evidences, hundred documents, mainly serbian, including;• passports, • ID-s, • birth and citizenship certificates and• various forms of applications for issuance of documents Regarding this case, at about 07:00 AM, in the Border Point in Merdare was stopped and arrested the suspect H.P., who is owner of one of the raided houses. The same persons is suspected that in an organized manner, in order to materially benefit through the illegal roads, or with forged documents, has taken or attempted to take Kosovar citizens toward the European Union countries. Regarding this case, the investigations were led by the Special Prosecution and there is a grounded suspicion that the above mentioned suspect has committed criminal offences of ‘smuggling with migrants’ and ‘forgery of documents’ and the same person with the authorization of the competent prosecutor was taken to detention.
