Prishtinë, 4 March 2014 -Today on 4.3.2014, minister of Internal Affairs Mr. Bajram Rexhepi, together with the deputy minister of MIA Mr. Sasha Rashiq and the Deputy General Director of Kosovo Police Mr. Naim Rexha, visited the border crossing point in Merdare.During the visit in this border crossing point, the Minister of Internal Affairs Mr.Bajram Rexhepi has closely seen the work of officers of all border agencies in this border crossing point, such as: Kosovo Police, Kosovo Customs and Food and Veterinary Agency. Minister Rexhepi during the meeting with border officers appreciated the commitment of the three border agencies, Kosovo Police, Kosovo Customs and the Food and Veterinary Agency, in implementation of the concept of Integrated Border Management also in BCP, in accordance to European standards. They have been informed by the commander of the border police station Merdare, Lieutenant Fehat Gashi about the work and commitment in this border crossing point, while experts of identification of forged documents demonstrated several cases of detection of the forged documents, presenting also the European standards work equipments. This visit has been made on the eve of the visit of the evaluation mission for visa liberalization, which will visit this BCP in order to closely see the progress achieved in implementation of the criteria of visa liberalization process.
