Qëllimi i ligjëratës ka qenë që nxënësit e kësaj shkolle të mësojnë më shumë për punën e Zyrave për Media dhe Marrëdhënie me Publikun në Policinë e Kosovës si dhe në Komandën e Lindjes së KFOR-it ( USA KFOR). Gjatë kësaj ligjërate u fol për edukimin mediatik, llojet e ndryshme të mediave, kujdesin për atë që lexojmë, kuptojmë, si dhe fëmijët u udhëzuan që për të pasur informim të drejtë dhe korrekt, duhet të shikohen burimet e informacionit, qëllimi i tyre, autoret dhe detaje të tjera rreth një lajmi të plasuar në platforma të ndryshme mediale. Fëmijët në ASK me shumë entuziazëm poashtu shtruan shumë pyetje për temën e ligjërimin si dhe për profesionin e ushtarit dhe policit.

Policija Kosova je 16 marta 2023 godine u saradnji sa američkim KFOR-om – Regional Command East održala predavanje o medijskom obrazovanju za učenike Američke Škole na Kosovu – American School of Kosova.

Svrha predavanja je bila da učenici ove škole saznaju više o radu Kancelarije za Medije i Odnose sa Javnošću u Policiji Kosova kao i u Istočnoj Komandi KFOR-a (USA KFOR).

Tokom ovog predavanja govorili smo o medijskom obrazovanju, različitim vrstama medija, pažnji za ono što čitamo, razumemo, a deca su upućena za da bismo imali pravu i tačnu informaciju, moramo sagledati izvore informacija, njihovu namenu, autori i drugi detalji o udarnim vestima na raznim medijskim platformama.

Deca u ASK-u su sa velikim entuzijazmom postavljala mnoga pitanja o temi predavanja kao io zanimanju vojnika i policije.

On March 16, 2023, the Kosovo Police in cooperation with the American KFOR – Regional Command East, held a lecture on media education for the students of the American School of Kosovo.

The purpose of the lecture was for the students of this school to learn more about the work of the Offices for Media and Public Relations in the Kosovo Police as well as in the Eastern Command of KFOR (USA KFOR). During this lecture, we talked about media literacy, different types of media, care for what we read, understand, and the children were advised that in order to have right and correct information, we must look at the sources of information, their purpose, the authors and other details about the news story on various media platforms. The children in ASK with great enthusiasm also asked many questions about the topic of the lecture as well as about the profession of soldier and police.
