Two suspects arrested in the north of the Country and an arsenal of weapons seized

In terms of the security aspect, the situation in the north of the Country is quiet but remains tensed. Kosovo Police (KP) in the conference dated 25.09.2023 stated that the police operation is still ongoing and as a result, two suspects have been arrested in a hotel as well as some vehicles and an arsenal of weapons have been found and seized in Basnjkë village.
After the arrest of two armed terrorist attackers, the arrest of four suspects who are encountered possessing illegal radio-communications and suspected to be part of the terrorist group as well as the arrest of two suspects on 05.09.2023, the number of the arrested persons so far is eight(8).
The seized vehicles on 25.09.2023 are: one armoured vehicle, two vehicles and one heavy vehicle (excavator), loaded mainly with the following items:
One weapon of heavy calibre (nitro launcher 30 mm)
Three heavy calibre guns (machine gun with three barrels),
Two long weapons (machine guns),
One sniper (black spear 12.7mm),
One rocket launcher (82 mm),
Twenty-two long weapons (AK 47),
One rifle (RPZ),
Two hunting rifles,
Two small weapons (pistols),
One hand grenade,
Seventy-four magazines for (AK 47),
Nine bulletproof vests,
One radio communication,
Eight military bags,
Six military uniforms,
It is worth mentioning that the two weapons AK 47, have been found inside the Monastery as well as one KP helmet which has been taken on the scene where the police sergeant was killed.
Kosovo Police continues its activities in the terms of maintaining Constitutional order, security of the Country and the citizens, regardless.
Police units regarding the situation created in Banjska area, are staying close to the citizens providing safety and help according to the needs and demands of the residents.
