“Krime Lufte”. Kosovo Police, respectively the Directorate for International Police Cooperation (ILECU) in the wake of engagements and legal tasks of International cooperation with other countries, has increased its activities in the field of International cooperation with the homologue directorate of Montenegro, where as a result two suspects have been arrested for the criminal offence “War Crimes”.

After the coordination and exchange of mutual information of Kosovo Police with the competent authorities of Montenegro, on 01.10.2023, the authorities of Montenegro arrested in their territory the person wanted with International arrest warrant with the initials Z.V (born on 1961) citizen of the RKS, wanted by Kosovo authorities for the criminal offence “War Crimes”.

On 04.10.2023 the authorities of Montenegro have also arrested in their territory another person wanted by the International arrest warrant with the initials I.B (born on 1975) citizen of the RKS wanted by Kosovo authorities for the criminal offence “War Crimes”.

Regarding the cases, the arrested persons have undergone the extradition processes from Montenegro to the Republic of Kosovo according to the legal procedures.

Kosovo Police through the ILECU continues to advance international cooperation with the law enforcement institutions of other countries, and with international police and security organizations, with the aim of arresting persons wanted by international arrest warrant, extradition or to bring them to the justice bodies.
