In the centre of Special Units “Enver Zymeri” an extraordinary conference was held regarding the developments of September 24, 2023 in the north of the Republic of Kosovo, respectively in Banjskë village.

This conference was attended by the Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Mr. Xhelal Sveçla and the General Director of KP, Colonel Gazmend Hoxha, who informed about the security situation and yesterday’s developments in the north of the County where the terrorist criminal group with fire weapons and military artillery attacked the police units, where the police sergeant Afrim Bunjaku, now hero of Kosovo, was killed.

Referring the tense situation and circumstances created from the terrorist attacks, the police officers in self-defence were forced to use the fire weapons where during the fights three attackers were killed while two other were arrested. There were also arrested four other suspects who had illegal radio-communications and who are suspected to be part of the terrorist group.

During the conference have been exposed the confiscated evidences such as: vehicles of different types including armoured vehicles, hundreds of different calibres of weapons, uniforms and logistical equipment, including military weapons of heavy calibre such as: grenades, rocket launchers, machine guns, drones, Kalashnikovs, ammunition of different calibres, radio-communications, phones and sim cards, working tools, maps and military uniforms, registration plates and other documents, etc.
