Prishtinë, 26th of August 2021
On 25.08.2021 around 13:00, during the patrol duties, the Fast Intervention Unit of Police (FIT) detained a suspect who was driving a BMW X5 car with local license plates, in ‘Xheladin Hana’ Street in Prishtina.
During the control of the vehicle, the police officers encountered several packages suspected to be narcotic substance marijuana type and as a result the suspect (B.C.) was arrested, on suspicion based on involvement in the criminal offense of “Unauthorized Purchase, Possession, Sale or Distribution of narcotics substances, psychotropics or analogues” from article-273.

Regarding the case, the anti-drug police unit was engaged, together with the Regional Forensic Unit in Prishtina have taken further actions and during the detailed control of the person and the vehicle were found and confiscated 10 (ten) packages with suspected narcotic substance marijuana, which is suspected to be approximately 10 (ten) kilograms.

Other operative police actions were taken and during the control of the suspect’s apartment which was located in Prishtina, various personal documents (ID cards, passports) were found which are suspected to have been used for forging visas of a foreign state.
It is worth mentioning that during the police control, about 300 euros, 2300 Serbian dinars, 10 denars of northern Macedonia and samsung and nokia mobile phones were confiscated.
Regarding the case, the competent prosecution was contacted and by his decision, the suspect was taken to the detention center for further proceedings
