After surging the cases of infection with COVID-19 and the new measures taken by the institutions of the country, Kosovo Police shall be active in realization and implementation of the measures.

The Regional Directorate of Police in Pejë, held a meeting with the regional sectors and commanders of the police stations. In the meeting it was presented the work and results about the previous six months of 2021 and the implementation of the decision of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo about prevention of the COVID-19 pandemics.

The meeting was held with the aim of coordinating actions and increasing capacities and increasing the number of police officers in the field for implementation of measures against Covid-19, in accordance to the law on prevention and fighting the pandemics.

The police shall update the Operational Plan, and adapt it to the undertaken measures and based on those decisions it shall implement duties and obligations regarding the decisions and measures undertaken in fighting against the spread of the pandemics.

Kosovo Police calls and at the same time requires from citizens, institutions, businesses to respect decisions of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.

As in the past, referring to the law on prevention and combating pandemics, police shall undertake punishment measures against all offenders. Therefore, we require to wear masks, keep the distance as foreseen by the latest decision of the government.
