The Investigation Department within the Kosovo Police (KP), today has carried out two successful police operations, which resulted in arresting five (5) suspects involved in criminal offences.

The first operation was carried out by the Directorate for Investigation of Trafficking with Narcotics, assisted by the relevant police units, who with an official order have raided a house in Gllogovica village in Prishtina, where there was residing the suspect, citizen of Albania, under the suspicion of cultivating and processing narcotics of cannabis sativa.

During the control in the house and additional facilities, nothing suspicion was found, while in a forest near a brook was found a plantation planted with cannabis sativa, with (31) pants with a length of 2.40 meters, some irrigation tools and a pomp for spraying plants. With the decision of the competent prosecutor, the suspect was taken to detention under the grounded suspicion for being involved in the criminal offence “Cultivation of hashish plants, cocaine bushes or cannabis plants”.

While the second operation was carried out in Podujeva, from the Directorate for Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption, in cooperation and coordination with the State Prosecution, which resulted in arresting four (4) suspects.
The suspects have been arrested on the grounded suspicions of the criminal offence “forged official documents” and with these documents the suspects with an official person (notary) are suspected of alienating a parcel
Against the suspects, the PTH Prosecutor in Prishtina has issued the Ruling for detention of (48) hours related the suspicion of committing the criminal offence “Abuse of the position or official authority” as well as the criminal offence “Forgery of documents” and “Legalization of false content”.

Kosovo Police continues its commitment in prevention of criminal activities and bringing the suspects to justice.
