Prishtinë, on 13 July 2023

On 12.07.2023 at about 10:10 p.m., the Kosovo Police, specifically the border unit-NJNSH, during patrolling in the village of Koshtovë-Leposaviq, stopped three suspected vehicles.

During the inspection of these vehicles, it was found that they were loaded with cigarette filter packages. According to the statements of the suspected persons, the goods were brought by a person from Novi Pazar-Serbia to the village of Soqanicë-Leposaviq, where they then loaded the goods into vehicles for destination in Mitrovica.

The case was handled by the units of the Border Surveillance – Police Station-Leposaviq.

Regarding the case, the competent prosecutor was informed and by his order, two of the vehicles and the goods were confiscated, while the case of “Prohibited trade” was initiated in a regular procedure.
