Ten (10) persons arrested on “Smuggling with migrants” One hundred and fifty three (153) victims of smuggling identified

Kosovo Police, in addition to regular duties in maintaining public peace and order, is actively undertaking measures to prevent, combat negative phenomena and other criminal offenses, as well as border management and control throughout the Republic of Kosovo.
In this context, the Border Police of the Republic of Kosovo through investigators of its department, in coordination with the competent Prosecution, Traffic Police, Directorate for Migration and Foreigners and other relevant police units, to prevent and combat smuggling of migrants on 27.09.2021carried out a successful police operation where ten (10) persons suspected of “Smuggling of migrants” have been arrested,
Seven (7) of the suspects are foreign nationals, while three (3) of the suspects are Kosovar nationals.
After intensive investigations by applying special investigative measures, during the police operation carried out quite efficiently by police investigators, the suspects and victims were located in several moving vehicles, as well as during a search in a hotel, additional one hundred and fifty three (153) foreign nationals victims of smuggling were identified, who were treated according to the procedures provided by the law on foreigners by the Directorate of Migration and Foreigners of the KP.
During the police operation, the following evidence was found and seized from the suspects:

· (942) Dollars
· (100) Franks
· (7800) Albanian Lekë
· (1000) Serbian Dinars
· (1) passport Bangladesh
· (1) passport Egypt
· (2) Laptop
· (5) Smart Phone
· (1) USB
· (1) golden ring
· (2) silver ring
· (1) Rolex watch
· (3) vehicles (one van and two cars).
