Seven suspects arrested by Kosovo Police

As
a result of several months intensive investigations conducted by the
Investigation Section of the Border Police Department, assisted also by the
supporting operational police units, dated 09.12.2015, raids have been
conducted in various locations of the region of Prishtina and Ferizaj.  

 

As
a result of police investigations and actions, seven suspects involved in
various criminal offenses; organized crime, smuggling of migrants, forgery of
documents and trafficking in narcotics are arrested. 

 

During
the raids in two different locations, it was found a laboratory and a workshop
for production of documents, where hundreds of passports and material for the
production of passports of various countries; Slovenian, Finnish, Czech,
Bulgarian, Spanish and Greek have been found.

 

Among
the documents seized there were also;


Residence permit of various countries; Swiss, Greek, Italian,


Various driving license,


Diplomas, certificates and various letters allegedly to be counterfeited or
forgery,


A small amount of narcotics marijuana,


20 shells cal.7.62, a metal rod etc.

 

The
Laboratory found, referred to the equipment and modern technology, as well as
referred to modern equipment seized, it is seen that it is very sophisticated
for the production of sophisticated documents.

 

During
the investigation of the case Border Police identified many citizens that are
equipped with these kinds of documents, being materially and legally damaged,
as to any holder of forged document criminal proceedings is initiated.

 

Therefore
Kosovo Police calls all Kosovo citizens to be careful and not to be prey to
such frauds.

 

The
police operation was conducted with the order of the Basic Court in Pristina
and arrested persons were taken into custody.
