Kosovo Police considers that the security situation in our country is calm and stable, sometimes accompanied by several incidents of different nature but it was managed to be handled by the relevant security institutions, and these situations did not  affected the overall security.

Based on its mandate, Kosovo Police exercises its legal and constitutional competencies and powers, in full service to the citizens, in order to create a safe and secure environment, in order to guarantee free movement for all.

The fundamental right of every citizen is to live and act freely and without fear, regardless of age, gender, race, religious or ethnicity, which is our primary interest in fulfilling and respecting them.

The Kosovo Police Vision focuses its police activity in providing security, law enforcement and crime prevention, always devoted to the service of citizens in promoting a safe and secure environment. Our mission is also to improve the quality of service for citizens, providing them with maximum conditions for protecting the dignity and fundamental rights of each individual.

By fighting the negative phenomena and all kinds of crime, Kosovo Police remains committed to providing professional, effective, efficient services, demonstrating sincerity, honesty, transparency and accountability, in fulfilling our mission by further advancing and increasing the “Credibility and satisfaction” towards the public.

Our cooperation with the community and coordination of activities with local and international security institutions remains our constant priority, which helps in maintaining public peace and order, as well as advancing the partnership of the Kosovo Police with the citizens.

This mutual commitment of the Police with the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo and with other actors will affect a life without fear of crime, but will also contribute to the fight against criminality and the prevention of all negative phenomena in society.

Therefore, we encourage all citizens to inform and report on criminal cases, to assist the Kosovo Police in the investigation and detection of all criminal cases as soon as possible and bringing perpetrators to justice bodies.
