Road Traffic Unit of the Regional Police Directorate in Gjakova, from 12.12.2016 up to 22.12.2016 has conducted an operational plan ‘extraordinary technical control of vehicles’

The aim of this plan has been the increase of safety in road traffic while as a priority has been the controlling of public transport vehicles, as well as of private companies, taking into account the technical condition of vehicles that circulate, because this has a special importance on raising safety for all the participants in traffic. 

Through these measures, this unit was focused on identification of vehicles that are not in good technical condition and in undertaking of measures for elimination of these problems, based on the law for road traffic safety (05/L-088)

During the operational plan, the police officers have identified the offences regarding the technical condition of vehicles of various categories and the same have been taken in extraordinary control.

For technical control are taken in total 60 vehicles:

• 19 vehicles and van

• 26 trucks

• 15 buses

From them, 53 vehicles have resulted in bed condition while 7 in good condition.

Police will act depending on the situation in the field and will continue to increase the safety in road traffic therefore we appeal all the road traffic participants to be careful.
