The police engagements in strengthening public peace and order, providing security to citizens as well as undertaking police measures in accordance with the situation and developments in the north of the country, will continue to be among the primary objectives and tasks for Kosovo Police.

Today, in the north of Mitrovica, a protest/gathering has been announced, therefore, in this regard, the Kosovo Police, recognizing the right to public gatherings in peaceful protest, according to its official duty, takes care of maintaining public peace and order, as well as the duties defined according to Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo.

Being aware for the circumstances and the fragile security situation created by criminal groups in the north of the country and the tendency to destabilize the situation, Kosovo Police invites citizens to pay additional attention and caution in the calling of this protest. KP invites them to protest peacefully and refrain to falling prey to possible provocations, of whatever nature they may be.
