Directorate of Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption, respectively the Section of Investigation of Corruption, on 16.11.2018, after undertaking several investigation actions arrested two suspects for being involved in the criminal offences ‘misappropriation and misuse of official position or authority ‘.
 
The suspect H.D. born on 1964, m/k/a, acting Director of Finances in the Ministry of Health, is suspected that by not fulfilling the legal authorizations during the year 2017 and 2018 regarding the withdrawal of allowances for travelling abroad for the officers of AKPM, suspected to have been withdrawn for official travelling that did not happen at all, so they are fictive and for which there is no documentation evidencing the reason of withdrawals. The amount of misuse for 2017-2018 is 132,345.00 (one hundred thirty-two thousand and three-hundred and forty-five).
 
While the second suspect, M.R. born on 1952, m/k/a, as the Director of Finances in the Ministry of Health for the period 2014-2017 is suspected to have acted contrary to his official duty allowing the withdrawal of allowances for travelling abroad for officers of AKPM which did not happen at all and the withdrawal of funds has been allowed contrary to the law and with no respective documentation.
 
The amount of abusing funds withdrawn on behalf of official travelling abroad, for the travelling which did not happen for the period 2104-2017 is  1,170,854.00 (one million one hundred and seventy thousand and eight hundred fifty-four ).
All the withdrawals of funds on behalf of allowances of AKPM, contrary to the law have been given to the suspect M.S. arrested by DHKEK-SHK, on 28.03.2018.  
 
      After the interview, the suspects with the decision of the prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution Office – Prishtina are given the detention measure of 48 hours.
