Kosovo Police, respectively Border Police in close cooperation with the Kosovo Customs, on 16.12.2016, at the Border point Dheu i Bardhë have stopped a transportation vehicle Mercedes with Serbian plates, suspected for transporting and trafficking of narcotics. 

The control of transportation vehicle was initially done by the Kosovo Customs officers, and then it was banned by the Border Police and after identification of narcotics, there was involved the Directorate for Investigation of Trafficking with Narcotics. 

The competent officers of the Directorate for Investigation of Trafficking with Narcotics have begun the detailed control of vehicle, on which there were being transported plastic doors and windows and inside them was detected a hidden amount of narcotics. 

During control, in 10 plastic window and 32 blinds were found and seized 234 packaging with narcotics of marijuana type with the overall weight of 240 kg and 724 g.

The investigations regarding this case have continued by the competent Directorate, where in two locations, in Gjilan and hajvali was conducted a police control, but nothing suspected was found. 

As a result of on-going investigations, initially there were arrested three suspects, while the fourth person was arrested on 20.12.2016, and the fifth suspect was arrested today on 21.12.2016.

The suspects arrested in this case are:

•M. L. born on 1985 m/a/s

•Xh. R. born on 1993 m/a/s

•N. B. born on 1962 m/a/k

•Sh. L. born on 1972 m/a/k

•V. N. born on 1987 m/a/k

By the decision of the Basic Prosecution in Gjilan, to the suspects was imposed the police detention measure. 

As material evidences are seized:

•240 kg and 724 g marijuana

•a transport truck

•two vehicles

•6 mobile phones

It is worth mentioning that the police investigators have found that the destination of this drug was the country of Switzerland.
