One police officer of the South Police station in Mitrovica, was suspended from the duty for forty-eight (48 hours), by the decision of the Regional Director of Kosovo Police in Mitrovica.

This decision was taken yesterday in the afternoon hours, on 10 June 2015 since the police officer was involved in an incident with a photo-reporter /journalist in the South Mitrovica stadium.

Pursuant to Administrative Instruction No.06/2012, for offences, measures and disciplinary procedures in the Kosovo Police, after the reasonable suspicion that the Kosovo Police employee is involved in the incident that poses a disciplinary offence and based on the Police interest, the employee S. J. is suspended temporarily from exercising the general duties and police authorizations for forty-eight (48) hours.

Kosovo Police remains committed in conducting its duties and responsibilities, fairly, professionally in undertaking right legal actions in all cases.
