Kosovo Police, in order to correctly inform the opinion, releases this press release as a reaction to some serbian online media, one of them News Agency of the Republic of Serbia SERENA, that allegedly from the sources inside Kosovo Police have obtained the information that it is expected the arrest of several Kosovo political personalities related to the investigation form the Special Court.

To such misinformation in serbian online media are referred several local and regional online media, among them the news agency “Presheva Jone”, with the news titled “After June, by the order from the special Court it is expected the arrest of Hashim Thaçit, Kadri Veselit, Xhavit Halitit, Azem Syla etc”.

Kosovo Police is a law enforcement institution, and ensures all the citizens that such news is false, intentional and tendentious that aim to sully Kosovo Police and destabilize the country. 

Kosovo Police stresses out and confirms again that it has no official information related to the news and disinformation published in Serbian portals, to which some local and regional online media were referring to.

Therefore, we consider that the public opinion should be informed right and correctly, because there is no official information at Kosovo Police related to the untrue stories that are allegedly sourced from KP, and it is considered that they intend to damage the positive image of Kosovo Police.
