Colonel Taibe Canolli-Brajshori, Director of the Human Resources Department, associated by Mrs. DOJ-ICITAP attaché Kimberly Riffe, from the US Embassy and Mr. Emin Uka, Head of the Quality Assurance Division at AKSP, is participating in the international conference of law enforcement directors, which was held in Denver, Colorado, USA, from 14th to 17th of May, 2023.

IADLES is the authority that ensures international standards of law enforcement training and ensures the application of policies and best practices related to standards and training.

In this four-day conference, the delegation from Kosovo as part of the panel, presented on the subject “Advancement of gender equality through training strategies”.

During this session, the achievements of the Kosovo Police in the field of training and integration of the gender perspective were presented. Colonel Taibe Canolli, among presented information, emphasized that Kosovo Police is a “success story” in terms of the integration of the gender perspective and that this is the first institution in the region that approved the strategic document, the Gender Agenda as well as the three-year action plan. Through these documents KP ensures the sustainable integration of women within the police organization, the adaptation of positive local and international practices for increasing the number of women/girls, as well as the continuation of their empowerment.

In this conference in addition to the participation of countries from the USA, 17 other countries have also participated, including the delegation from the Republic of Kosovo.

The participation in this very important conference was made possible by the American ICITAP, which continuously supports the participation of the Kosovo Police in such international events and conferences, therefore the Kosovo Police appreciates this and is very grateful.
