Prishtina, 11^th of March 2021

Today on 11.03.2021, at the General Directorate of Kosovo Police in Prishtina a meeting was held between main bodies of Kosovo Police where it was discussed for the overall situation on road traffic and further measures to be taken for as efficient as possible management of the traffic in our country.

The meeting was led by the Director of operation in Kosovo Police Colonel Gazmend HOXHA, associated by the Director or Division for Road Traffic Lieutenant colonel Jeton REXHEPI and others.

Police representatives from the Division for Public Safety, Chiefs of regional traffic units as well as Unit of Highway Control participated in this meeting.

In this meeting was discussed on the situation in traffic during the years as well as the current situation, it was agreed for the cooperation of all actors including other relevant institutions to provide better circumstances and conditions for the overall security in traffic.

It was stressed out that the continuous role and cooperation with media in the function of presenting and providing information for the public related to police activities/operations, awareness raising campaigns and plans in prevention and awareness.

It was also confirmed that Kosovo Police will continue the implementation of legal duties and authorizations through concrete operational planning on management and control of traffic in our country, in order to have higher level of security in our roads.
