Prishtina, 27.05.2024

1. Kosovo Police, respectively the police units of the Border Department after an intensive operational and investigative work, today on 27.05.2024, at about 14:00h, in the Koshuticë village of M. Leposaviq, on the way out of the Republic of Kosovo towards Serbia, they stopped five (5) different vehicles in which there were goods, agricultural equipment as follows:

• Motors (cultivator); thirteen (13) pieces,

• Mowers for large grasses (mulchers) six (6) pieces,

• Agricultural milling cutters three (3) pieces,

• Hoes for milling two hundred (200) pieces,

• Hand chainsaw one (1) piece,

• Moto-cultivator one (1) piece,

• Four-wheel motorcycle for children one (1) piece.

By the authorization of the State Prosecutor, the case “Unauthorized crossing of the border – Attempt” was initiated, while the case goes for treatment in the regular procedure.

2. In another case, a few hours earlier, the border patrol of the Border Surveillance Police Station in Keçekolla in the village of Metergovc, M. Podujevë, at the border zone, came across an amount of about twenty (20) cubic meters of beech and pine wood (trunks).

KFA officials have come to the scene, while by the authorization of the State Prosecutor, the “Smuggling of goods” case has been initiated, the smuggled goods have been sent to the customs terminal, while the case continues to be investigated by the competent authorities.
