The
Directorate for Investigation of Trafficking with Human Beings, on 28 October
2015 has conducted two separate police operations, where five suspects were
arrested under grounded suspicion to having committed criminal offences of
‘trafficking with human beings’ and ‘enabling or extortion in prostitution’, as
well as have identified two trafficking victims.
During
the police operation conducted in the Mitrovica region, one person was arrested
since he is suspected to having committed the criminal offenses of ‘trafficking
of human beings’ and ‘illegal possession of weapons’ and ‘sexual abuse of the
persons under the age of 16’. The arrested person in this case is:
· M. S. born
in 1967 m/a/k
Regarding
this case, there were identified two trafficking victims, which are being
treated according to the standard procedures for assistance and protection of
victims.
During
this police operation there was also done the control of the suspect’s house,
where as material evidences were seized:
· one weapon (pistol)
· one lap-top
· two mobile phones
The other police
operation was conducted in the Peja region, on 28 October 2015, where four
persons were arrested under grounded suspicion to having committed the criminal
offences of ‘enabling or extortion in prostitution’ and ‘dealing with
prostitution’.

All police
operations were conducted with the authorization of respective prosecutor,
while against the five arrested suspects was imposed the detention measure of
48 hours, in order to proceed with other investigation procedures.
