Kosovo Police in the process of prevention, investigation and combating
smuggling with narcotics and combating other negative phenomenon in the
country, undertook police actions in two separate cases, there were seized a
considerable amount of suspected narcotics and a suspect has been arrested.

Case 1.

On 28.03.2017, at about 16:30,
Kosovo Police, respectively, the Directorate of Investigation of Trafficking
with Narcotics, Unit in Prizren, from the trusted sources received the
information that in the village Shpenadi, Velezhë, Caparc and Novakë, close to
a farm land there are several big bags, black and covered with some plastic
coverage and dry grass.

After receiving this
information, Police went to the abovementioned locations and noticed that there
are four black bags, where there were sixty two (62) packages, with suspected
narcotics marihuana.

Regarding this case the
competent prosecutor in Prizren has been informed.

After the examination of the
scene and receiving evidences from the scene, in cooperation with investigation
units in the region of Prizren, Fast Reaction Unit, Forensics, police station
North and the police station in Prizren, with K9 Unit began to control the area
around the location and after searching about 3 km by dogs of the K9 unit,
traces have taken to the house of a potential suspect.

With the verbal order of the
pre-trial judge in Prizren there have been controlled the houses, facilities
and vehicles of the suspect, but there has not been found any evidence
regarding the criminal offences of narcotics or other criminal offences.

After weighting the suspected
narcotics of marihuana, it resulted that the weight is about 62 kg and 465 gr.

Regarding this case, the
respective units are conducting further investigations.

Case 2.

On 28.03.2017, at about 21:30 a
police unit of Fushë Kosova police station during the operational task of the
field and searching for the suspect for robbery, upon receiving the information
regarding the address where he lives, during the search throughout the corridor
of the house, there were noticed some suspected particles of narcotics. In this
location there has been invited the Anti-drug unit and in coordination with the
prosecutor at the competent court there was conducted a raid in the room where
the suspect (male): A.Ç. born in 1999) citizen of Albania was, where during the
raid there were siezed 4827.9 gr narcotics suspected to be marihuana, one
digital weight and three mobile phones. In the scene there went also the unit
of regional forensics who examined the scene, photographing and weighting of
the suspected narcotics. By the order of the competent prosecutor the suspect
is taken to the detention centre for 48 hours.
