Kosovo Police respectively the police unit at border point RBD-East as a result of intensification of tactical and operational controls in the field managed to prevent the smuggling in goods in two separate cases.

On 19.07.2022 at about 07:00 Kosovo Police during the surveillance and ambush near the border line Kosovo-Serbia based on the risk analysis and intelligent information provided by the border police units have identified two vehicles one of them with serbian license plates and one with local plates, driven by male kosovar suspects.

During the control on these vehicles, at one of them is found an amount of alcohol beverages 26 crates with beer total of 520 bottles, and at the second car are found 24 crates with beer with 80 bottles of beer, in total 580 bottles of beer.

The goods are suspected of having been brought from Republic of Serbia through mountain routes towards the Republic of Kosovo.

Related to the case the Regional Unit of Investigation at the Border Directorate-East is dealing with these two cases and in cooperation with respective prosecution after the preliminary investigation the goods are confiscated and handed to the Kosovo Customs.
