Kosovo Police, respectively the Directorate for Investigation of Serious Crimes, today (15.05.2015) in the early morning hours, have conducted an operational plan coded “kontrolla”, where in cooperation with the Kosovo Special Prosecution have executed the Order of the Basic Court in Prishtina, for conducting a nationwide operation which relates with allegations for serious criminal offences.

The police operation was undertaken by assessing the importance for keeping the order and public peace in the country, as well as to prevent any type of criminal offences including six (6) regions of Kosovo, such as: Prishtinë, Gjilan, Pejë, Gjakovë, Ferizaj dhe Prizren.

During this police operation there were accompanied eleven (11) persons for interviewing process, as well as thirty eight (38) locations were raided, mainly residential houses.

While as material evidences, there were seized weapons and ammunition of various types, including equipment and other evidences related the case, such as:

• Three long barrel weapons,

• Two small weapons,

• One cold weapon, knife,

• An amount of ammunition of various calibers, and

• Other evidences related the case

The respective Institutions based in the legal mandate, will undertake all the necessary measures for keeping the order and public peace in the country, as well as prevention of all the criminal acts, including the cases of illegal possession of weapons.
