The border police of Kosovo, in the series of their work and commitments aiming for more efficient management and control of the state border, today on 21.11.2023 at around 12:00, at the entrance of the Jarinje Border Crossing Point, searched an IVECO truck, with plates of the Republic of Kosovo, which was transporting cars with foreign plates.

During the border control, the driver placed a ten (10) euro banknote inside the traffic permit to “bribe” border officers.

The police officers immediately took legal action and with the authorization of the State Prosecutor, the “Bribery” case was initiated in the regular procedure, where the banknote was seized for further procedures.

Also today around 11:00, within the operational plan “Goditja” at the entrance of the Merdar Border Crossing Point, in the Citroen vehicle, with Serbian license plates, with a male driver who is a citizen of Serbia, after the stop and search, the following undeclared goods were found and without proof of purchase:

– 02 two wristwatches;

– 07 seven perfumes;

– 06 six pairs of shoes (sneakers);

– 01 pair of complete tracksuits;

– 11 pairs of pants of different brands;

– 02 two jackets as well

– 02 shirts;

The goods have been seized by Kosovo Customs for further evaluation and legal procedures.
