Kosovo Police, respectively the Directorate for Investigation of Trafficking with Human beings, assisted and supported by the regional police units, on 03.11.2016 have implemented the operational plan coded “NËNTORI”, whose purpose was the identification of possible victims of trafficking with human beings.
It is worth mentioning that this operational plan was conducted in cooperation with other relevant institutions including the whole territory of the Country.
During implementing this plan, police units have controlled 32 locations, which besides the exercising legal activities, there were also doubts for possible utilization of females for trafficking with human beings.
Six of these locations were closed by the municipality inspectors for the lack of respective documentation and legal procedures for this case have begun.
In this case two suspects are arrested under the grounded suspicion to having committed the criminal offence ‘illegal possession of weapons’ and ‘obstruction of official duty’.
In this case was also seized one pistol with nine cartridges and two knives.
During implementation of this operation, in the controlled premises were also legitimated 185 females, most of them foreign nationals, from Albania, Serbia, Monte Negro and Macedonia.
Relevant documentation of the victims were seized and the victims were guided to appear at the Directorate of Migration and Foreigners within Kosovo Police.
