Kosovo Police in realizing its duties and responsibilities, in function of law enforcement, combating corruption and negative phenomena in the country, today as well continued with the arrest of suspects involved in criminal acts.

The Directorate of Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption, respectively Section of Investigation of Corruption, after a several months of investigation has identified and arrested two (2) suspects:

• D. R. date of birth 1956 male/serbian and
• I. M. date of birth 1960 male/albanian

According to the police investigations, arrested persons are suspected that together have committed criminal acts:

• Not reporting criminal act against official corruption and official duty,
• Forgery of documents and
• Misuse of official position and authority.

The abovementioned suspects have misuse state property, for over 400.000 euros (four hundred thousand), at the same time have illegally acquired this amount for themselves and for others.

With the order of pretrial judge from the Department of Serious Crimes, Kosovo Police has realized a search at the Llapllasella village, Municipality Graqanica, acting based on the coded plan, and at the house of suspect D.R. confiscated various documents, ammunition, money and other case relevant evidence.

By the decision of competent prosecutor, the arrested persons are detained for 48 hours.
