Referring some official information, received by all regional police Directorates, despite the snowfall, all regional roads, highways and those urban in Kosovo are passable even though in some of them the passing is more difficult and mainly for the heavy transport vehicles. 

Roads that are more difficult to pass are mainly the roads in mountain areas but also some secondary roads, on villages of various municipalities. 

Kosovo Police was continuously monitoring weather conditions and the safety of our citizens, especially condition on the roads, and appeals all participants in the road traffic to be careful while circulating on the roads, to adhere the traffic rules, to adopt the road condition and have the necessary winter equipment in accordance with the road traffic law, in order to contribute in reducing and avoidance of traffic accidents. 

According to official police data, in the Republic of Kosovo within 24 past hours, there have occurred 15 traffic accidents with injured, while the number of accidents without injuries has gone to 45. During this 24-hours period, Police have imposed 977 traffic tickets for various offences and wherever there are violations of rules by the traffic participants there will be undertaken legal measures by the police officers with the aim to reduce the accidents and provide a greater safety in road traffic.
