In order to inform the public opinion regarding the protest which is expected to be held tomorrow on April 18th 2015 at 14:00 in Prishtina, Kosovo Police has made all the necessary preparations in time by drafting the operational order for the protest progress.
As a part of the operational plan, there are made planning for the orientation of the alternative road traffic during the time when protesters are using those roads, and we ask the citizens to have understanding regarding this issue to avoid the driving during the protest time in the roads where the protest will be held, as following:
1. Street “Garibaldi”;
2. Street “Gjorgj Bush”;
3. Street “Luan Haradinaj”;
4. Street “Robert Doll”;
5. Street “Kosta Novakoviq”;
6. Street “Bill Klinton”;
7. Street “Eqrem Çabej”;
8. Street “Agim Ramadani”;
9. Street “Xhemajl Prishtina”;
10. Street “Ilaz Agushi”;
11. Street “Ilir Konushevci”.
The strategic aim of this operational order is:
* The overall safety in the Republic of Kosovo, keeping of order, peace and public safety as well as law enforcement.
* Increase of security measures to guarantee order, peace and public safety, before, during and after the protest.
* To undertake the necessary police operation measures, in order to ensure that the protest be held without any incident and to enable the free expression of citizens during the protest.
* The undertaking of legal measures against the possible illegal actions and combating of the entire negative phenomenon that may cause instability and that could risk the order and public peace before, during and after the protest.
Kosovo Police, as a law enforcement institution, will undertake all the actions in conformity with the Constitution of Kosovo, applicable laws and drafted plan, in order to guarantee the order and public peace, for the progress of the protest as well as to enable the free movement of all the citizens.
Kosovo police recognize the right of citizens for public gatherings, free speech, protests and demonstrations, in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo and applicable laws.
Law enforcement, guaranteeing of the order and public peace, free movement and peaceful progress of this protest is the priority of the Kosovo Police plan. At the same time, we invite the citizens to avoid any violence form and illegal behavior, to contribute the stability, order and peace, as well as progress of the protest in general.
Kosovo Police believes in high citizen’s culture and hopes that the protest will be without incidents.
