Prishtinë, June 6 2024

The FAST-ILECU unit, following the implementation of police duties and commitments in the field of international police cooperation, in the last two days, made two arrests based on international arrest warrants.

First case: On 04.06.2024, as a result of a good cooperation between the FAST Unit and international partners, a Polish citizen, wanted on the basis of the international wanted notice, red-notice-Interpol, issued by the authority of Poland, was arrested.

By order of the competent prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution office-Prishtina, the wanted person was taken into custody.

Second case: On 06.06.2024, a person wanted on the basis of the international arrest warrant issued by the Turkish authorities was arrested.

By order of the competent prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution office-Prishtina, the arrested person was taken into custody.

In both cases, the procedures foreseen for cases where arrests are made with an international arrest warrant will continue.
