General Director of Kosovo Police mr. Shpene Maxhuni, hosted senior representatives from national and international institutions

Prishtinë, 8th june 2017

Today on 08.06.2017 at the General Directorate of Kosovo Police was held a meeting regarding the engagement of Kosovo Police in the implementation of police plan for “Early parliamentary elections 11th of june 2017”. 

In a meeting organized by the General Director of Kosovo Police Mr. Shpend Maxhuni participated Ms. Valdete Daka, head of CEC, Ms. Laura Pula from the State Prosecution, Mr. Jan Braathu chief mission OSCE, serious representatives from KFOR, EULEX and European Mission for monitoring elections in Kosovo.

Also part of this important meeting were deputy director of KP, directors from departments and directorates of regional Police directorates engaged in the plan. 

The General Director of Kosovo Police Mr. Shpend Maxhuni informed the participants regarding the planning, evaluation and engagements of Kosovo Police in providing security and thrift of the election process, as a very important process for our country. 

The Director Maxhuni, among other stated that the creation of a safe and peaceful environment for all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo as well as providing public order, peace and security in the country before, during and after the election process, is priority for Kosovo Police. 

Mr. Maxhuni requested from the senior superior of police that all duties and police plan for the Election Day be implemented professionally and high commitment. 

At the same time it was discussed from the participants also for the initiation and processing of every criminal offense of the right of voting and undertaking all measures of procedures/criminal against any one violating the laws regulating/sanctioning illegal actions against free and democratic elections in close coordination and cooperation with the State Prosecution according to the action plans and preliminary elections based on the law. 

   

Also, in this meeting all present discussed the total engagement in all territory of the country including north, in order to provide security to enable all citizens of the country to exercise the right to vote with no obstacles and influences. 

All present were assured that Kosovo Police remains committed in realization of its legal duties and responsibilities professionally, transparently and impartially towards citizens of the country.
