General Director of Kosovo Police Mr. Shpend MAXHUNI with a delegation from Kosovo Police and Ministry of Foreign Affairs is participating in the Conference “Mobilizing Law Enforcement Efforts to Defeat ISIS”, that is being held in Washington DC on 27th and 28th of February 2018, organized by: State Department, Global Coalition Against ISIS, INTERPOL and International Institution for Justice and Law Enforcement.

In his speech in front of the delegation of member states of the Global Coalition, the director Maxhuni presented the current efforts and successes of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo in prevention and combat of the violent extremism and terrorism. In this case it was stated that the Republic of Kosovo remains a leader in the region in dealing with this phenomenon and it is a valuable partner of the Global Coalition. 

Director Maxhuni emphasized the importance of the acceptance of Kosovo Police in INTERPOL, not only for Kosovo Police but for all member states, and it was also stressed out the opinion of the member states of the Coalition that the acceptance of Kosovo in INTERPOL would be an added value for the organization itself as well as the member states.
