General Director of Kosovo Police Mr. Shpend Maxhuni, hosted in an official meeting the General Prosecutor of the Republic of Turkey Mr. Mehmet Akarca

           General Director of Kosovo Police Mr. Shpend Maxhuni, together with the Chief State Prosecutor, Aleksander Lumezi, hosted in an official meeting the General Prosecutor of the Republic of Turkey, Mehmet Akarca, who was accompanied by the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to RKS Ms. Kivicilim Kiliç.

At the meeting held at the premises of the General Directorate of KP, Shpend Maxhuni initially welcomed Mr. Akarca and at the same time thanked him for his visit to the Kosovo Police.

During the meeting, Director Maxhuni informed the participants about the engagements, activities and results achieved through the realization of the strategic objectives of the Kosovo Police, arising from the strategic development plan of Police.

Director Maxhuni also informed the participants that the Kosovo Police has professional capacities and is prepared to provide security, fight against organized crime, and cooperate closely with police organizations in order to further advance mutual co-operation in the security field and the prevention of terrorism and violent extremism.

While Turkey’s Prosecutor, Mr. Akarca thanked Mr. Maxhuni for the warm welcome and at the same time praised the work of the Kosovo Police in general, and in particular the cooperation so far demonstrated with the Turkish authorities.

The Turkish delegation confirmed the unreserved help and support to the Kosovo Police with all its capabilities, with the aim of professional increase and further advancement in various fields.

During the meeting, both sides pledged mutual cooperation in the future, a cooperation that is in common interest.
