Today, on June 18th 2015. General director of Kosovo Police, Mr. Shpend Maxhuni with its senior KP staff hosted in a meeting a delegation from Germany, respectively from the North Rhine Westphalia state, headed by Mr. Ralf Jäger, minister of Interior and Mr. Dieter Wehe, General Director of the North Rhine Westphalia state
Mr. Shpend Maxhuni thanked the Germany delegation for the visit and presented a presentation about the background, organization, activities and objectives of the Kosovo Police.
The topic of this meeting was the international police cooperation, illegal migration and combating of the organized crime.
Director Maxhuni said that the Kosovo Police has already proved itself for being prepared to be part of the whole international police mechanisms, such as: INTERPOL, EUROPOL, etc. in order to prevent, combat the criminality in the country but as well as in the region and wider and that this remains one of the main KP objectives. In this meeting was also required the support on this direction from Mr. Ralf Jäger, minister of Interior for the North Rhine Westphalia.
Mr. Ralf Jäger, thanked Kosovo Police in this case the Director Maxhuni for the hosting and promised that in the meeting to be held with the German minister of Internal Affairs will discuss the issue of Kosovo membership in INTERPOL and EUROPOL.
During the meeting, which was held in the General Directorate environments of Kosovo Police, the two heads of two police countries committed for the mutual cooperation between the two police and about the common advancement in the prevention field and combating of the crime.
