On 4 November 2015, General
Director of Kosovo Police, Mr. Shpend Maxhuni, accompanied by two senior
officers of his staff, during his official visit in the United States of
America, in the course of official meetings with various police agencies, has
participated also in the events organized by the Illyrian Society of Law
Enforcement Officers.

This ceremony was dedicated to
the announcement of the personalities of the year within the law enforcement
agencies in New York Police Department – NYPD, and in this case as a sign of
appreciation, the General Director of Kosovo Police, Mr. Shpend Maxhuni was
awarded with the recognition for extraordinary vision and leadership, proven in
combating of terrorism and transnational organized crime.

In this ceremony General
Director Mr. Shpend Maxhuni in a speech to the attendees, thanked the Illyrian
Society of Law Enforcement Officers and senior officers of NYPD for the
cooperation and support for the Kosovo Police in combating of all negative
trends.

The aim of this visit was the
ongoing advance of the cooperation with all police agencies, in order to prevent
and combat all the types of crime especially terrorism and organized crime.
