General Director of Kosovo Police Mr, Rashit Qalaj, held an official meeting regarding the concerns about cases of robberies

The General Director of Kosovo Police Rashit Qalaj, referring to the concerns about the cases of robberies mainly occurred on the RDP – Prishtina, in an official meeting summoned the management staff and Stations commander of the Regional Directorate of Prishtina.

The main topic of this meeting by the Director Qalaj was the undertaking of immediate additional measures aiming to prevent the various criminal offences, especially of robberies as well as the arrest of perpetrators of such criminal offences. 

The Director Qalaj raised the main issues dealing with the citizens’ safety, cooperation and meetings with community, traffic safety, prevention of criminal offences such as robberies, thefts, drugs, etc, asking by them to work and be more engaged to create a quiet and safe climate for citizens which also contributes in the overall safety of the country.

Besides the drafting of an operational order, it was also required by the Regional Directors to implement the concrete plans for prevention of robberies, to secure the locations of special importance, sensitive locations, by engaging various police units, police platoons, units for fast reaction and special operational units.

. Kosovo Police has professional capacities and is prepared to provide security, to combat the organized crime as well as to prevent the criminal cases and for this it has prepared the operational order for managing the security situation during the end-year holiday, which aim to prevent any type of risk for security, order and public peace as well as the life or public and private property.

The meeting resulted in commitment for additional engagements towards fulfilling the tasks and police obligations to citizens.
