Kosovo Police, through this official press release, informs the media and citizens that starting from 01.11.2024, it will not issue to the requesting parties/citizens a certificate for the criminal background.

The suspension of the issuance of certificates refers to Law No. 08/L-194 on the Central Criminal Evidence System, which repeals any other legal provision that determines the issuance of certificates related to criminal evidence.

The Department of Central Criminal Evidence with the Judicial Council of Kosovo remains responsible for issuing these certificates, therefore requesting parties/citizens can apply in the courts that cover their territory.
