Prishtina, 18th of October 2018

Kosovo Police, respectively the Directorate of Investigation of Organized Crime, in full cooperation with the State Prosecutor, conducted intensive investigation for several months for detection of the criminal act of several suspects that continuously were dealing with criminal acts of weapon smuggling, today on 18.10.2018, arrested five suspects, involved in weapon smuggling.

Based on the order from the competent court a police operation coded “TRUDA” was undertaken, where five suspects were arrested and conducted searches of houses and additional facilities, suspect’s property. Searches were conducted in the Prishtina region (in four locations), and in the Mitrovica region (one location).
     
The suspects arrested during this operation are:

•    S. V.          born on 1965         m/a/k
•    R. V.          born on 1967         m/a/k
•    H. A.          born on 1977         m/a/k
•    S. Sh.          born on 1953         m/a/k
•    E. Sh.          born on 1980         m/a/k

A material evidence are seized:

•    5 small fire weapons,
•    6 gas weapons “Ekol” special 99 – cal. 9 mm,
•    1 semi-automatic rifle,
•    3 hunting rifle,
•    2 air rifle,
•    341 bullets, various calibers,
•    Various weapon parts,
•    4 cell phones,
•    6400 euro cash, suspected to have been earned from criminal activity,
•    Two vehicles (as a mean of committing criminal act).

Suspects, based on the decision of the prosecutor, are taken to detention.
