Director of the Investigation Department Mr. Riza Shillova hosted a meeting for the U.S. Department of State Assistant Secretary for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), Kirsten D. Madison

Assistant Secretary for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), Mrs. Kirsten D. Madison during her visit to Kosovo paid an official visit to Kosovo Police, where she was welcomed by the Director of the Investigation Department Mr. Riza Shillova. 

Mr. Shillova on behalf of the Kosovo Police (KP) thanked Assistant Secretary, Madison for her visit to the Kosovo Police, as well as for the continued support that the United States has and continues to provide to Kosovo Police in various areas.

The exchange of experiences and practices, training and technical and technological equipment provided by the US through INL and ICITAP have directly impacted on the professional upgrading and KP capacities in achieving positive results in different IT areas, cybercrime, etc., especially in the field of prevention and seizure of narcotics.

The KP has consistently shown positive results in the field of the prevention of narcotics trafficking, while in 2018 has shown more pronounced results in the arrest, prevention and confiscation of various narcotic substances, and in particular the seizure of 119 kg of heroin.

The U.S. Department of State Assistant Secretary for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, Kirsten D. Madison, congratulated Kosovo Police Director of Investigations Riza Shillova on their recent successes in counter narcotics.

Kosovo Police remains committed to empowering the rule of law, preventing and combating all negative phenomena and organized crime in general, and especially in preventing and combating narcotics trafficking.
