Kosovo
Police (KP), with the aim to rightly inform the public regarding the
article published today (on 17.10.2017) in the online portal “ Insajderi” titled
“Kosovo Police ignores the threat against the senior state officer”, reacts
against this article and clarifies as following:

Kosovo
Police is a law-enforcement institution and in all cases acts in accordance to
its legal powers, where in the respective case, immediately after the
information dated 16.10.2017, at about 17:20 undertook concrete actions
engaging the relevant police units for treatment and provision of security to
the head of the Procurement Review Body (PRB).

As a result of the immediate actions
of the police officers, yesterday on (16.10.2017) there
was met the complainer Blerim Dina in the str. Bajram Kelmendi in Prishtinë, from
whom they were informed briefly regarding the case. 

He
has been taken with the official vehicle and brought to the Directorate of
Investigation of Serious Crimes in Prishtina, where he gave statement for all
activities and respectively about his statement, the prosecutor on duty of the
Basic Prosecution in Prishtina has been informed. 

Regarding the case in consultation
and coordination with the competent prosecution office, intensive
investigations have been conducted, including collection and provision of
relevant evidences related to the case according to the legal procedure
determined in the Criminal Procedure Code.

While today on 17.10.2017 two
persons have been interviewed as suspects about this case, against one of them
with the judgment of the prosecutor the detention measure of 48 hours has been
given, while the other one has been released in a regular procedure.

Kosovo Police based on the
assessments made engaged police units in providing safety against the officer
of PRB.

Kosovo Police remains committed in
implementation of duties and legal responsibilities, including its professional
commitments with the aim of providing safety and prevention of criminal
offences, as well as the right informing the public.
