Kosovo Police (KP), in order to inform the public correctly, on July 17 published the official information as well as the reaction about the circulation and distribution through various e-mails of some false information and documents, which allegedly belong to the Kosovo Police and allegedly have been issued by senior officers within the Kosovo Police, and at the same time clarified that;

The distribution of these e-mails, allegedly official e-mails issued on behalf of senior KP officers, including a document containing the KP logo, government logo, various stamps and an inscription of EUROPOL, allegedly issued with the purpose of notifying the certain party for a court order, they are neither official documents of the Kosovo Police, nor issued by senior officers within the KP, but they are forged e-mails and documents for use with certain purposes.

As we pointed out in the first clarification, now also in the second clarification we re-emphasize that, in the forged e-mail and document, the names of senior KP officers and various logos were used, but we emphasize again that they are not official documents, they do not contain the official format and writing of the KP, and they were not issued from the official addresses of the Kosovo Police.

In order to clarify the opinion and the persons who may receive any such e-mail or document, Kosovo Police publishes this forged document and also the form of the forged e-mail, which you find attached, in order not to create unnecessary concerns for citizens.

Kosovo Police as a law enforcement institution, in cooperation and coordination with the justice bodies, after providing information about the circulation of such e-mails/documents, and the continuation of their distribution, started intensive investigations by engaging competent police units, in order to investigate, verify and discover the perpetrators of this criminal offense.

Kosovo Police once again informs the citizens and calls them not to fall prey to such misinformation/fraud, and anyone who may receive any such e-mail/document, address it to the official address of the KP [email protected] for further handling and competence.
