Kosovo
Police based on its duties and legal authorizations has continued in monitoring
the situation and conduction of the legal duties and responsibilities,
including also the legal obligations for implementation of the Warrant Arrest
issued by the justice bodies.
Referring
to the developments and movement of a person and including the persons wanted
by the Warrant Arrest, Kosovo Police was forced to undertake necessary legal
measures for securing the location and detention of wanted persons in the
residency of the political subject Vetevendosje.
A group of some persons have
stayed in front of the residency protesting and obstructing the police officers
to conduct their duties and legal obligations, where during the police actions
there were arrested some persons who have obstructed and attacked the police
officers.
Based on the suspicions that
the wanted person with Warrant Arrest (Mr. Kurti) and other persons were found
inside the facility of the Vetevendosje residency, and the relevant police
units in consultation and coordination with the competent prosecutor were
forced to act inside the facility in order to implement the Warrant Arrest.
The relevant police units
after the intervention inside the facility have encountered in resistance of
some violent persons who were inside the facility, and who have thrown various
tough means toward the police officers, including sticks, chairs, metal means
and spray, where as a consequence two
police officers and two other persons have suffered injuries.
Police officers based on the
situation and violent actions shown by the persons inside the facility, have
acted in conformity the legal authorization and have arrested some persons who
were taken to the police stations for further proceedings.
The relevant police units
who were looking for the wanted person with the Warrant Arrest (Mr Kurti) have
managed to locate him and accompany to the justice bodies, as foreseen in the
Warrant Arrest.
Kosovo
Police in order to conduct all the police actions has engaged all the relevant
police units to keep the situation under control and to examine the scene.
All
further police actions will be undertaken in consultation and coordination with
the competent prosecutor including the actions about so far arrests (16;45) of
eighty seven (87) persons in police stations.
Kosovo Police based on
its planning, is continuing to maintain the order and public safety.
