Acting General Director of Kosovo Police Mr. Naim Rexha, accompanied by his senior staff, today on 26th of June hosted the commander of the NATO base in Napoli, Admiral James G.FOGGO and General of KFOR Mr. Salvatore CUOCI in an official meeting, who were accompanied by KFOR delegation as well.

In a meeting conducted at the KP General Directorate premises, Mr. Naim Rexha initially thanked Admiral James G.FOGGO and General Salvatore CUOCI for their visit, and at the same time evaluated this meeting as very important and welcomed by Kosovo Police. 

In order to better know the police organization, acting General Director Rexha through a comprehensive presentation of the organizational structure and police functioning, in front of the guests presented the vision, mission, values and strategic objectives of Kosovo Police, in fulfilling its legal duties and obligations in benefit of security and order in the republic of Kosovo.

At the same time NATO and KFOR were informed that Kosovo Police has the professional capacities and it is prepared to provide security, fight against organized crime and trans-border crime.

It was highlighted that Kosovo Police has good cooperation with national and international institutions, with KFOR authorities, cooperation that shown positive results in various fields, including the successes in joint patrols, mainly at the border line.
Acting Director Rexha, during this meeting presented the engagements and unsparing work that Kosovo Police is doing in many fields, especially the one of international cooperation realized by the Directorate of International Cooperation in the Law Enforcement (ILECU).

As a result of the need for engagement, cooperation and inclusion of Kosovo Police in international mechanisms such as INTERPOL, Acting GD Rexha requested from Admiral James G.FOGGO and General CUOCI, the support for Kosovo Police in its road to membership, which is one of the primary objectives of KP.

In the other hand Admiral James G.FOGGO and general CUOCI, thanked Mr. Rexha as well for his warm welcome and at the same time highly evaluated the work of Kosovo Police in general, especially the cooperation with the international authorities including KFOR.

Also, they assured that they will pay attention to the support and cooperation in various fields of joint interest, including the regional level cooperation of two institutions with joint goals for the security of country and its citizens.

The official meeting was concluded with a visit to the KP Operational Communication Center.
