Prishtina, 22nd of January 2019
 
Kosovo Police, respectively the Directorate on Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption, Section of the Investigation of Economic Crimes in Prishtina, on date 14th of December 2018 received the authorization from the Basic Prosecution in Prishtina to conduct the investigation, based on the suspicion of committing the criminal offense ‘abuse of the office and official authority’ from the article 422 of CCRK and ‘legalizing false content’ from the article 403 of CCRK.

Related to the case, on date 22nd January 2019, police units arrested one suspect, for committing the a/m offenses.

The arrested person related to this case is:

•    K. B.        born on 1962        m/a/k

The suspect is an officer at the Civil Registration Office in Skenderaj, established fictive marriages between the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo and EU, where he issued marriage certificates without the presence of the married couple. These certificates were used in Germany to regulate the status of stay there.

    By the decision of the prosecutor PTH – Prishtina the suspect is detained for 48 hours.
